Our 7-year-old, Artimus tolerates his 6-year-old brother. I'm happy he doesn't totally resent the little imp that we adopted. After all, he lived a whole year being the only child, garnering all the adoration and attention. Then the baby arrived....parvo virus in tow. Artimus dislikes puppies and babies in general, so this was a blow to his self-esteem. Then not only does Gollum recover from his puppyhood illness, but he recovered with ATTITUDE. The world revolves around Gollum.

I think he ignores Gollum most of the time. Then Gollum will do something cute, and I think he's trying to convince Artimus that he's not ALL bad. He balances his good and evil in a complicated mix of transgressions and apologies. We named him perfectly.

Dear Artimus, thank you for being a patient older brother. --Mom

Such adorable little "boys". - Grandma
ReplyDeleteCute pics. It is funny how they interact. I was telling Josh how Artimus growls sometimes at Gollum, it's really funny. Then you tell him to settle down and everything's better!
