My idea of a pedicure nowadays...

Rottweilers love to work; whether it's herding, guarding, or doing pedicures.
Mallory can wash, trim, and tickle just like a professional manicurist.
She gets over zealous sometimes, but she's just a puppy...and still learning.
That's my girl!
For some reason, Tom's not into the pedicures...Artimus and Gollum pass as well. Just let me know if you need a little foot work; Mallory works cheap.

Artimus and the retaining wall

Tom placed Artimus on top of the retaining wall knowing that he would like the sunshine.
We didn't know how much he would like walking back and forth; almost pacing and patrolling his way across the top of the wall.
He stopped to growl at a fly, but then kept trotting along. He stopped to sniff.
When Mallory discovered her brother on the wall, she became very upset. She wanted to rescue him; she flung herself at the wall a couple of times until Tom reassured her.It was really cute how much Artimus enjoyed it. I guess any time he gets singled out to do something different, he feels special.
Whoa, Artimus, you are up toooo high!! Daddy will catch you if you fall. (He didn't fall though) =)

Long weekend

Although this past weekend didn't have any more hours than the normal weekend, we had it rough. I didn't sleep, so the dogs didn't sleep; therefore, they had to make up for lost sleep on Monday.Mallory is the obvious center of attention here: just look at the extra leg in these pictures. That's Artimus!!

Artimus needs his daddy

When Artimus doesn't feel well, he runs to Tom.

Dear Mallory,
Please do not ever get sick again.
We can't handle it.
You are too precious and too young.

I miss my Tom

My husband left for a well-deserved vacation. I miss him though. Look how TALL Mallory looks in this picture. She is only 4 months old here.
Mallory got very ill very quickly, so I'm happy that she recovered a little before Tom left for his trip. She loves him so much.
And he loves her too, for sure.
Hey Baby! I hope you are having a wonderful time. Tell Mike and Kent hello for me.
We love our fun Dad and handsome Husband!

Interrupting Sunday breakfast

Maybe I should have titled this "nagging wife"...I dunno. I didn't get my "head on the shoulder" shot I was hoping for, but maybe next Sunday. Either way, we need better table manners, I think.

We have boundless more space than we had in the apartment, yet we still both eat off the coffee table. Funny! I love it.

Two IGs and One Rott

Now that the weather is cooler, we have a dilemma. Artimus and Gollum want to be outside with me and Tom, but they don't want to freeze. The space heater is somewhat of a solution, but the magical positioning is a bonus.Artimus even tries out the DRHorton chair when he gets warmed up a bit.
When the sun comes out, they will venture out into the yard, but not for long.
Back to the dog bed, the heater, or in Gollum's case, usually my lap. This is the look I get from Gollum when he wants to be in my lap.
The Rottweiler beast is in his way, though. So, back to the heater, and the Itailian Greyhound poses.

Gollum's newest favorite place

Gollum follows me around the house unless he's asleep. He always prefers sleeping, but he needs to know where I am as well. The house has different rooms which is a new concept to all of us.
I spend a lot of time in a new place called "the laundry room." Consequently, Gollum decided he would like to be in the laundry room too. As he calculated this in his head, he determined he would like to be asleep AND in the laundry room.
Something clicked when he stuck his head into the dryer to see what all this "folding" business was about. The light bulb in his little head lit up the room. It's WARM in the dryer!
This ended my folding chores for the day. I had to let him relax in his new favorite place. I guess I'll be doing laundry in secrecy from now on if I want to accomplish anything.

Pink T-shirt day

Oh girl,
Funny stuff...
She didn't like it so much, and I don't think Gollum liked Mallory getting the attention. So why did I do it? It makes her sooooo cute! I find it highly amusing, and any interaction is good interaction with a puppy, right? HMM.

Angry Italian Greyhound

Gollum upset about the outdoor temperature, the upcoming vet visit, and this horribly misbehaved puppy (not).

So, Tom and I may have differing political views, but we agree on HUMOR! This is funny; no matter what. Thanks for sending it to me, baby!

This 23-second clip would be fine if I didn't have to hear my voice. Why does it sound so different than what's knocking around in your head?

Anyway at the beginning of the clip you can see Artimus and Gollum in directly in front of me just watching to see what the puppies are gonna do next.

princess dog cat baby Gollum

Yesterday, I took my three dogs to meet Karen, Jack, and Fenway at Parr Park. We had two Rottweiler puppies and two "mid-life" Italian greyhounds. We scared one cranky gentlemen, but other than that, it was nothing but fun. I think Jack was mining for gold in this clip. =)

You are HEALED!

It's safe to say Mallory loves Artimus. She finally won him over. He even plays with her sometimes. She must know he's our number one. Let's not discuss #2 in this post. I will keep this one brief and devil-free.
